Remember the last time we did an announcement two months ago that our lives would soon be changed with three under three? This month, we reveal the gender of the twins.
So you guys, I really think cankles are in my near future. I mean the belly button is already an outie and it took me at least to the third trimester to get this last time. I look and feel a lot chubbier than the scale actually says. Feeble is pretty much the word to describe most of my days. There is no second trimester honeymoon stage. But enough of the complaining, this month I’ve noticed 3 positive silver linings to having twins.
I may not be sleeping well at night, but I can pretty much fall asleep on cue anytime during the day.
Each spouse gets to pick a name
It didn’t take us long to settle on the name of our son last time. With two, it’s even easier to compromise. We each get to name one.
More doctor’s visits mean more ultrasound images
While I am still trying to juggle my work load and all the extra doctor’s visits (minimum of 3 a month in addition to extra follow ups as needed), it is very nice to see the twins on ultrasound so often. During a normal pregnancy, there’s only 2-3 ultrasounds. Women have this nagging fear about how their fetus is doing if they can’t see them. I get to see mine at least every 2 weeks and I get free digital images of each visit. These scans are from our recent 19 week, full anatomy, gender reveal scan.
And the twins are….GIRLS!!!
