Over the weekend, we celebrated our baby shower with friends and family. Between Colin’s baby shower, his first birthday, and the twin’s baby shower, we are constantly amazed and grateful at how much support we get from our loved ones. And by extension, the babies’ loved ones. Here are a few details of the Tea for Two baby shower. The colors were pink and mint.
Cakes and cupcakes were from The Cake Shop Bakery in San Mateo. The two cakes are 6″ rounds at no specified height, this was their standard. The green ombre cake was strawberry flavored and the pink one was red velvet with cream cheese. There were also 3 jumbo cupcakes in a variety of flavors and a dozen regular cupcakes in a lemon flavor.
I made tissue paper flowers inspired by this Pinterest post using tissue paper and pipe cleaner found at our local Dollar Tree store. I also made the green, pink, and yellow banner that goes around the table by cutting doilies from Amazon in half and putting it on string. Green plates and pink napkins were also from Amazon. My MIL bought the “It’s Twins” banner from Amazon. The flowers were from Trader Joe’s at $3.99 per bunch. I used 3 bunches to fill all these bud vases.
We had a mimosa bar and a hot chocolate and tea bar which all used these mint green cups from Amazon.
As of the time of this party, I was 30 weeks along. Only 7 more weeks to go.
