When the twins were 2 weeks old, I scrambled to find a photographer to capture newborn and family photos. Most photographers were booked for the rest of 2017 and not all of them had a studio which is what I preferred given the poor lighting in our house and the cold weather outside. We finally found Lanny Nguyen who was able to capture us in her Japantown studio. I couldn’t be more thrilled with how the photos turned out and especially how cooperative our son was during the first half of the session, just enough to get some good sibling and family photos. I’m glad we put in the effort to drag the family out of the house. A few of these photos have already been sprinkled throughout my Instagram, YouTube, and blog posts. Prepare for me to overshare this set until we have another chance to take new family photos.
Not going to lie, I spent more time than I should have spent browsing the dark corners of Amazon for the perfect swaddle and headband combo for the girls. The end result was this pink wrap with this grey wrap and flower headbands from Target. Some of the nicer wraps were pretty expensive for what they were. They really charge an arm and a leg for baby things, because sadly we moms will spend the money on them…
I am wearing the Bounce Back line of postpartum jeans I got from Motherhood Maternity as mentioned in the last twins update. This last month, I’ve pretty much been living in these pants anytime I step outside the house. I highly recommend them because maternity pants will actually feel loose eventually but regular jeans won’t fit yet. These are perfect for the transition. I also went crazy on shoes during my last Nordstrom purchase. Check out our outfits from this shoot at the end of the post.
